Chuck Knauss represents companies and trade associations in environmental permitting, enforcement, rulemaking, litigation, commercial, and legislative matters at Hunton Andrews Kurth. He focuses on manufacturing and energy sectors, including oil and gas, automotive, aerospace, chemical, paper, and power generation. From 1987-1990, Chuck served as lead minority counsel to the US House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce, where he negotiated all aspects of the comprehensive 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments, viewed by many as the most significant piece of economic and environmental legislation in the past 25 years.
